Some of IRGC measures to combat the UN Security Council Resolutions PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 17 April 2007
NCRI - Following UN Security Council Resolution 1747, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) convened an emergency meeting of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the force which made important decisions on how to set off the serious consequences of the UN’s resolutions in the force, NCRI has learnt. Following are excerpts of the closed meeting’s minutes:

The main goal [of such UN resolutions] is to make Iran back off form its legitimate nuclear demands and to consider suspension of uranium enrichment. The so called international community attempts by;

-Isolating Iran both in the region and in the world;

-Creating domestic instability which would eventually have a serious impact on factional infighting within the ruling government;

-Creating a power vacuum in the society by making people suspicious of the government;

-Imposing economic sanctions on Iran as well as erecting trade barriers for Iranian banks to prevent them from doing business with the outside world;

All top echelons of the IRGC should be briefed on how to best cope with the negative effects of sanctions on the country. Also they must obey the [regime] Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei’s orders at all times;

-The propaganda organs including Friday Prayer leaders should seriously follow the IRGC instructions in minimizing the adverse effects of sanctions on the economy and prevent the rank and file form deserting the IRGC.
