Four prisoners were hanged and three others were sentenced to death in Isfahan, Ahwaz and Iran-Shahr PDF Print E-mail

NCRI - The mullahs’ henchmen hanged a man identified as Hoshang in the central city of Isfahan. The prisoner had committee the pertinent crime 27 years ago, the state-run new agency Fars reported on January 17.

Over the weekend, three prisoners identified as M.H., S.S., and Toraj Seyah-Kamari were hanged in southwestern city of Ahwaz and southeastern city of Iran-Shahr respectively, the state-run dailies Resalat and Joumhori-Islami reported.

NCRI - The mullahs’ agents abducted and brutally murdered president of the Iraqi Women Syndicate (IWS), Ms. Amereh Abdul-Karim Al-Aqabi in Iraq.

Ms. Al-Aqabi was one of the fierce opponents of the Iranian regime’s meddling in Iraq. She was also one of the co-sponsors of the historic statement by 5.2 million Iraqis in June 2006 which called for eviction of the mullahs’ regime from her country.

Ms. Al-Aqabi was involved in extensive activities to improve the role of Iraqi women in the society. As the president of IWS, she led a major resistance against fundamentalism and increasing restrictions imposed on Iraqi women.

Seven prisoners hanged in past four days in Iran PDF Print E-mail

NCRI - Seven prisoners were hanged in the past four days, the state-run news agencies Fars and IRNA reported.

A young man, identified as Arash, was hanged in the town of Mobarkeh in the central Province of Isfahan. Two prisoners were hanged in southwestern city of Ahwaz. Three prisoners, identified as Eskandar Abbassi, Vahid and Jamshid Abdi, were hanged in northern city of No-Shahr. One of the victims was hanged in the city’s stadium. Another prisoner, identified as Mahmoud T., was hanged in the Mahalati Square in the central city of Qom.

NCRI - The mullahs’ regime wants to swap Kazem Darabi, one of the masterminds of the Mykonos restaurant murders in return for Donald Klein, a German citizen, Spiegel Magazine reported. Klein has been serving time in a prison in Iran since late 2005 on the charge of entering Iranian waters illegally while fishing.

NCRI - The head of the southern Fars Province's prisons, Nasser Jafar-Qoli, made a shocking admission on the number of prisoners in Iran. “The rate of growth in prison population is nine percent. This figure is higher than the total rate of population growth in Iran. It is an alarming sign for the leaders of the country,” he told the state-run news agency Fars on January 16.

NCRI - The mullahs’ regime intends to purge some of the most experienced faculty members of Kurdistan’s University of Medicine as well as Sunni Muslim professors under the guise of retirement, according to information received.
 
The inhuman plan is being implemented by the university's Chancellor and supported by the Health Minister and certain security circles in Iranian Kurdistan. The decision to expel the professors was made subsequent to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s trip a few months ago to the province and was widely protested by students.

After the passing of two years they are still awaiting execution.” (State-run news agency ISNA, January 1, 2007)
