Agence France Presse - German Chancellor Angela Merkel said here on Saturday the international community was resolved to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons.
"We are all determined to prevent the threat of an Iran with a military nuclear programme," Merkel said in a speech to the Munich Conference on Security Policy. |

Iran further isolated over nuclear program: US |

Agence France Presse - Iran is finding itself further isolated as international supporters for its nuclear program are reduced to "a gang of four," the number-three US diplomat said Friday.
The "gang of four is Cuba, Venezuela, Syria and Belarus. I don't think there is any other country supporting Iran," said Nicholas Burns, the US State Department's under secretary for political affairs.
"Iran seems to be determined to further isolation," he said. |

On Wednesday, “A number of the Independent Students at Health and Human Services University during the examinations period were summoned to the school’s Disciplinary Committee,” the state-run news agency ISNA reported. It quoted students as saying, “[The Committee] issued probation orders for some students.”

The former Solicitor General for Scotland, Lord Fraser of Carmyllie, QC, said: "We should be supporting those who are so strong in their resistance against the mullahs." |
